What is BRIGHT HORISONS?
BRIGHT HORISONS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing sustainable electricity to remote and underserved villages around the world. We design, fund, and implement renewable energy solutions—like solar mini-grids and home lighting systems—to improve quality of life, education, healthcare, and economic development.
Why should I donate to BRIGHT HORISONS?
Your donation directly helps bring clean, renewable electricity to communities that need it most. From lighting schools and clinics to powering small businesses, your support turns darkness into opportunity for thousands of people.
How do you coordinate your work with other aid agencies to avoid duplication of services?
We collaborate with local governments, international NGOs, and community organizations to ensure efforts are well-coordinated and resources are efficiently used. This helps us maximize impact and avoid overlapping services.
What is safeguarding?
Safeguarding means ensuring that all individuals involved in or affected by our programs are protected from harm. We are committed to maintaining the safety, dignity, and rights of everyone we work with—especially vulnerable communities.
How much of my donation goes toward projects?
We are committed to transparency and efficiency. A high percentage of every donation goes directly toward project implementation, with minimal overhead. You can find detailed breakdowns on our financial page.(Coming soon)
Is my donation tax deductible?
No, we seek to be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible in the United States to the extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for details.
How will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
Online donations receive an emailed confirmation within 24 hours. For donations by mail or phone, you’ll receive a receipt via postal mail. Recurring donors have access to a year-end summary through their online account.
I can’t find my original receipt. Can I request a new one?
Yes. If you donated online, check your spam/junk folder. Still missing? Use our contact form or call our support line to request a duplicate. Receipts may take up to 10 business days.
